Money!

So you know your life is way too intense when the most exciting thing you've done recently is your taxes. Woohoo. But hey, with how rich we are now, perhaps I can finish putting together my office at home. Or maybe I can get an ice cream cone. One of the two. Probably the latter.

I really want to put the office together though. I planned on cleaning it up today. I have instruments everywhere (I think right now its 3 saxophones, 5 violins, 4 drum kits, a french horn and an oboe), plus all of my promotional materials, price books, and the mail for the last 3 months (since somebody doesn't sort through it when I'm away on business and I never have time when I'm at home).

I suppose I should go start cleaning now. Today is my last day home for the next couple weeks. I'm going to SLC tomorrow, and then LA this weekend, and next week I'll be back in town on Wednesday but I'll be out in Phoenix all day every day after that. So much travel!

First Edition

So I decided to finally join the world of blogging. Not like I need anything else to occupy my time, but I wanted something to keep in touch with family and friends and let them know what's going on in my life.
I'll start by way of an introduction to my little family.

This is me and my sexy husband Anthony:

And here are our "kids":

Zilli:

She is our gorgeous 5 year old golden retriever who will probably never really be older than a puppy! She's the best dog ever though - exceptionally well trained, a great cuddler, and the best foot warmer you'll ever meet.

And Prinx:

I rescued Prinx from a tire outside my old apartment in Gilbert. He was about the size of the palm of my hand at the time. He's about a year and a half old now, and it was just last summer that we finally realized that he's actually a boy. However, I am still convinced that he's a vampire.

Here's how our family began:

Anthony and I started dating May 12, 2006 after meeting at a roller skating rink. It was a big YSA Family Home Evening activity that neither of us was really invited to - I heard about it on myspace, and Anthony was tagging along with a couple of his friends. About halfway through the evening, he snuck up behind me and challenged me to a race. He completely caught me off guard, and as I was trying to find something to say to him, he thought I was blowing him off, so he just left. Later, my charming prince rescued his little damsel in distress as I attempted (very unsuccessfully, I might add) to skate backwards. He then asked me to race again, saying that if I won, he would take me to dinner, but if he won, I would have to buy him dessert. Of course I won (and he definitely did NOT let me win! LOL!), and so our first date was the following Friday night. We've been inseparable ever since (with the exception of a few little bumps along the way).

After dating for quite a while, we were married on July 7, 2007. It has been about 7 1/2 months since the wedding, and time definitely flies! At the present time, we are living in Queen Creek, AZ, in our beautiful little house (really, it is adorable, and if anyone wants to buy it, we are accepting offers!). Anthony currently works for Verizon as a business rep, and I'm a territory manager for Conn-Selmer, a musical instrument manufacturer. My territory covers Arizona, Nevada, California, and Hawaii, but about 85% of my time is spent in California. We're hoping to move there as soon as Anthony can find a job.

And that's us! Not much more to say than that at this point, so I'll just get to work today, and update this as we go about our exciting lives!
